Want to Troubleshoot Router Login Access Errors? Read This

There can be a number of reasons why you fail to access the Netgear router login page. Nowadays, the most common reasons faced by every user are issues related with IP address, browsing history, cache, etc.


Use the following easy steps to gain access to the Netgear router page:


Plug your Netgear WiFi router into a wall outlet. The power LED on your Netgear device should blink.

  • Connect your smart Netgear router to your existing modem with the help of an Ethernet cable.

  • Open an internet browser and enter routerlogin.net in its address bar field. If you face router login issues, then use the default IP address of your Netgear router instead of the web address.

  • Use the proper Netgear router's default admin name and password.

Note: If you have changed the admin details of your Netgear router, the default login credentials will no longer work.

  • If you receive an error while log in to router, clear your internet browser cache, malware, and junk files, restart your device (computer or laptop) and try again later via another internet browser.

  • Still, unable to Netgear router troubleshooting issues? Don't fret out. Try to connect your Netgear router to your modem using a WiFi connection instead of wired.

  • Another fix to troubleshoot router login issue is to disconnect from all VPN and internet connections and only connect to your Netgear WiFi router. In case, you connect to multiple networks at the same piece of time, such as wireless and wired, VPN, or a corporate connection, you might face router login issues.

  • Disable pop-up blockers, firewalls, and ad-blocking software temporarily in order to see whether any of these are causing access issues to the Netgear router login page or not.

  • Power cycle your Netgear router, broadband modem, and connected devices (including desktops, laptops, smartphones, tablets, etc.). Power off your Netgear router, modem, and connected devices for a couple of minutes. Once done, turn them on again simultaneously. Turn on your Netgear router first and after a few minutes, your devices (modem, computer, laptop, smartphone, etc.).

If none of the above-mentioned troubleshooting tips resolve the issue, then reset your Netgear router back to its factory default values.


To reset your Netgear wireless router:


You have to make sure that your Netgear wireless router is properly plugged into a working wall outlet.

  • Also, ensure that your Netgear router is disconnected from all the connected devices that you used to access the router login page.

  • Disconnect it from your main modem as well.

  • Then, take a paper clip and carefully insert it into the reset hole of your Netgear WiFi router.

  • Hold the reset hole and release it slowly.

  • And that's it folks! Your Netgear router reset successfully.
